Community and Educational Programs
National Theater of Young Artists actively takes part in many community service activities. The cost of enjoying the performing arts in Japan is considerably higher than, say, the United States or Europe where the arts receive generous subsidies from business and government so that everyone can attend. The opportunities for young people in this country to experience the arts onstage live are, therefore, extremely limited. We actively encourage and support taking the arts to the people and especially to children. In that regard, through coordination with local communities and schools, we are involved in the following activities to promote the spread of theater arts in Japan.

■Performances in Schools
National Theater of Young Artists will perform on your school stage, whether you're a nursery, elementary school, junior high, high school, or university. The program will be chosen keeping in mind the age and background of your students. Feel free to contact us anytime for more information.

■Let us produce a show with your community group or school
We produce stage shows with many kinds of community groups and schools. A sincere desire to raise the level of interest and awareness of art and culture in Japan was our inspiration to create these programs. Making a show together is an extremely memorable experience for both grown-ups and children alike. If this interests you, please contact us.

■Let us send our top professionals to you
Our theater company has many registered young professional artists that are a joy to behold. Beautiful dancers, amazing musicians, and specialty performers will visit your school, company, or institution and perform for your special events or parties.

■We bring world class artists and companies from abroad
We extend invitations to our favorite ballet companies, theater companies, and artists from abroad to give workshops and performances in Japan. If you would like to take advantage of this kind of opportunity, we can make a proposal for you. This service requires advance notice, so it's best to inquire early.

■Interaction with theaters and young performer overseas
We provide opportunities for our kids to meet and interact with students and youth theater companies from abroad. We are in touch with several companies in Asia, Australia, and the United States, and we're actively searching out possible venues for mutual cooperation and joint performance.

■Theater Workshops
Our drama method will be used in workshops. In short dialogues kids will be able to learn English by rhythm and sound. Singing and dance may be included in a workshop as well.

Besides singing and dancing and the usual training in voice, pronunciation, and acting, our unique drama method is an incomparable method for learning English. It was created seventeen years ago and has been tested in many prestigious Japanese universities, high schools, junior highs, and elementary schools and found to be one of the most successful, efficient, and fun methods for language learning ever produced.

In fact, we have been invited to present and to perform at this year's national JALT (Japanese Association of Language Teachers) convention in Nagoya, and we will have the honor of being one of the main features at this event. This year's theme is 'Creativity: Think Outside the Box.'

私たちは舞台芸術を通したアウトリーチ活動（出張授業）も積極的に行い、各地で講演会やワークショップを実施しています。パフォーミングアーツを活用したユニークな教育活動は全国に広まり、様々な大学や小学校等が取り入れられています。

我々の講師が学校を訪問し教師や子供たちと舞台を創る創作活動や英語を話す感覚を身につけることを目的としたワークショップ、ダンスや歌を通して自己表現を学ぶレッスンなど様々な企画を行っています。最近では教師を対象とした英語教授法のワークショップも積極的に行っています。セオドアが30年間の教員生活で培ったメソッドを、ひとりでも多くの教師たちと共有したいと思います。ご興味があれば、お気軽にお問い合わせください。

■劇団の学校訪問
当劇団が学校を訪問し上演活動を行います。幼稚園、小学校、中学校、高校、大学など様々な条件に合わせ、演目を選択します。企画立案からサポートしますので、お気軽にご相談ください。

■舞台の共同制作
地域コミュニティや学校と共に舞台制作を行っています。私たちの舞台活動を通して、日本の文化力向上に貢献できればという思いから活動を始めました。大人と子どもが一体となって舞台制作を行う体験は、ひとつ感動体験です。まずはお気軽にご相談ください。

神戸市にあるインターナショナルスクール「Canadian Academy」と共同で舞台制作を行うなど、様々な活動を行っています。オリジナル演目の制作や劇団員との共同練習など、目的に沿ったプランをご提案いたします。

■アーティストの派遣
当劇団に所属する多くのアーティストの派遣活動を行っています。ダンサーや音楽家がご依頼いただいた福祉施設等を訪問し、パフォーマンスを行います。質の高い芸術に触れることで、地域コミュニティを豊かにしていきます。

■海外からアーティストやカンパニーの招聘
欧米各国のアーティストやカンパニーを招き、公演やワークショップを行います。バレエ団、劇団、アーティストなど、目的に沿った選定と企画立案を行います。調整に時間を要することも多いため、お早めにご相談ください。

■海外交流活動のサポート
海外のユースシアターや小学生との交流活動をサポートします。共同での演劇鑑賞や短いレビューショーの共同制作など、年齢や企画に合ったご提案をいたします。

■ワークショップの実施
当劇団のドラマメソッドで英語教育を行います。短いダイアログの中で英語のリズムや語感を学ぶことで、新しい学習のきっかけをつかんだりします。歌やダンスを交えての企画も可能です。お気軽にご相談ください。
